Role Overview

We are looking for a Volunteer Program Manager who embodies our core values of Trustworthiness, Capability, Compassion, Proactivity, and a strong desire to serve. This role is crucial in overseeing the Volunteer Program, which includes the recruitment, training, retention, and supervision of volunteers. The ideal candidate will lead with empathy and a philanthropic spirit, working alongside others who are dedicated to service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain thorough documentation of volunteer recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Provide comprehensive training and orientation to ensure volunteers understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Assess and document the skills and competencies of volunteers.
  • Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to ensure seamless integration of volunteer services.
  • Develop a public relations strategy to foster positive relationships with volunteers and the community.
  • Assist in planning and executing events related to the volunteer program.
Qualifications for Success
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams towards achieving collective goals.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with patients' families, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Familiarity with hospice management and volunteer programs is preferred.
