Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the district.
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and community members to promote equity and inclusivity.
  • Provide professional development and coaching to teachers and staff on culturally responsive teaching practices.
  • Investigate and resolve complaints of discrimination and harassment.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote equity and inclusivity.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in education, social work, or a related field.
  • Connecticut State Administrator's certification (092).
  • Foundational knowledge about race, culture, and socio-economic status in education.
  • Proven success in integrating and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within complex organizations.
