Job Summary:
This role provides direct clinical patient care in our Surgical Telemetry Unit. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis. You will also supervise staff to ensure appropriate care is delegated and provide support to the Chief Nursing Officer to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff, ensuring that care is delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contribute to the development of policies and procedures, and maintain current knowledge of nursing practices and regulations.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Nursing required.
- One year of telemetry experience preferred.
- Current RN license from the state in which you reside.
- American Heart Association BLS CPR required.
- American Heart Association ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
