Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our Production Team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. in North Bend, WA. As an Equipment Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and productive work environment, supporting plant needs, and contributing to the success of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate mobile equipment on plant property, including excavators, dozers, loaders, haul trucks, and other heavy machinery.
  • Maintain cleanliness of plant work areas, adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Assist with plant tasks, including lubrication, maintenance, repairs, and transportation of materials.
  • Utilize equipment to maximize productivity and minimize wear and downtime.
  • Report mechanical or maintenance issues with equipment and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and identify and assist in correcting unsafe conditions.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must possess a Washington State Driver License.
  • Experience using or ability to learn plant mobile equipment.
  • Desire to work cooperatively as part of a productive team.
  • Ability to work safely, independently, and as a team player.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of learning through on-the-job training.
  • Good attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Display or have some mechanical aptitude for minor preventative maintenance and pre-shift inspections.
  • Ability to work in year-round weather conditions, extremes of hot and cold weather.
  • Must have the physical ability to climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift (up to 75 lbs.), sit, and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in an open pit mine, maintenance, cutting and welding, or crushing and screening.
  • MSHA Part 46 training.
  • Knowledge of environmental care and spill containment procedures.

Conditions of Employment
