Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Lake Forest TownePlace Suites. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel facilities, as well as supervising a team of housekeeping staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Housekeeping Staff
    • Direct and oversee the work activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance of hotel rooms and public areas.
    • Provide training and guidance to housekeeping staff on hotel policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Inspect and Maintain Hotel Facilities
    • Conduct regular inspections of hotel rooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure they meet our high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
    • Identify and report any maintenance or repair issues to the maintenance team.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies
    • Monitor and manage the inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and other essential items.
    • Ensure that all necessary supplies are stocked and available for housekeeping staff.
  • Communicate with Guests and Colleagues
    • Respond to guest complaints and concerns regarding housekeeping services or facilities.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
    • At least six months to one year of related experience in housekeeping or a related field.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
    • Basic math skills and ability to calculate figures and amounts.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
