Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to our patients in a detox and recovery setting. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional who can work with minimal supervision, providing compassionate and cool-tempered care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor patient conditions and assess needs to provide optimal care
- Observe and interpret patient symptoms, communicating them to healthcare providers
- Collaborate with medical directors and NPs to develop individualized care plans
- Perform routine procedures, including blood pressure measurements and administering injections
- Adjust and administer medications, providing treatments as ordered by physicians
- Inspect facilities and maintain excellent hygiene and safety standards
- Provide immediate medical care in emergencies
- Supervise and train BHT staff
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment for patients
- Expand knowledge and capabilities through educational workshops and conferences
Requirements
- Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or equivalent
- Experience in detox and substance abuse preferred
- Basic knowledge of Kipu EMR
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- Excellent knowledge of emergency care
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible and compassionate
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
Compensation
$30-$35 hourly
