Position Overview

Under the guidance of the Administrator:
  • Accountable for the safety, security, and comprehensive upkeep of equipment, facilities, and grounds.
  • Designs, organizes, develops, executes, and supports maintenance initiatives, objectives, policies, procedures, etc.
  • Ensures compliance with all OSHA, fire safety, and other regulatory standards consistently.
  • Prioritizes work assignments based on resident and employee safety & security, collaborating closely with external contractors (as necessary) to guarantee timely and effective project completion.
  • Conducts quality assurance (QA) evaluations related to safety, preventive maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Partners with Human Resources (HR) in managing the successful recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and scheduling of maintenance staff.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a maintenance department (preferably in a supervisory role); proficient knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., along with various mechanical, electrical, carpentry, and plumbing systems.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must possess knowledge of building codes and safety regulations and standards, including but not limited to fire safety, electrical, plumbing, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) design, installation, maintenance, and operation, as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing maintenance functions in a long-term care (LTC) setting.
  • Must be self-driven, demonstrating organizational and time-management skills to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills specific to the English language.
Additional Information

Shift: Days, Flexible Scheduling

Wage Range*: $23.50/hr-$26.00/hr, Negotiable (DOE)

Years of Experience Incentive Pay: $0.15/per year, up to ten (10) years

Weekend Differential: $1.00/hr
