Job Title: Task Force Director of Finance

Crescent Hotels and Resorts is seeking an experienced and skilled Task Force Director of Finance to oversee the financial activities of various hotels, ensuring the safeguarding of assets and the preparation of financial reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and Crescent Standards.

This role is eligible for remote work within the United States, with the requirement of access to an airport for required 100% travel.

The Crescent portfolio comprises full-service premium branded hotels within the Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and IHG brands.

As the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for providing ethical and consistent leadership in the financial area of various hotels in the field, supplying management with guidance, training, and support. You will focus on the profitability of the business, maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring acceptable levels of internal controls, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, and safeguarding owners/investors assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Acts as the "Chief Business Officer" to the general manager and EC Team, evaluating the financial impact on business decisions.
  • Ensures that all levels of management are promptly notified of any financial deviations from established policies and/or control weaknesses in the hotel.
  • Effectively manages and communicates cash flow-related issues, as required to management and ownership.
  • Monitors hotel revenues and expenses, ensuring accurate recording in accordance with Crescent Hotels and Resorts established guidelines.
  • Coordinates the completion of all forecasts and budgets as required, with the full and active participation of EC Team and department managers.
  • Analyzes financial data and operations to assist and advise management in maintaining the hotels' financial objectives.
  • Ensures that all balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations, are reconciled on a timely basis.
  • Establishes and continually audits all internal financial controls, including purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, credit extension, inventories, hotel assets, master keys, payroll, and employee records.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 8 years of related progressive experience in hotel Accounting or a related field.
  • Proficient in financial and accounting procedures.
  • Fluency in English language (reading, writing, and speaking) is essential.
