Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist Director to lead our diagnostic imaging team.

Job Summary

The Director of Diagnostic Imaging will be responsible for overseeing the operation of radiological and imaging services, ensuring quality, efficiency, and responsiveness. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills to manage department finances, coordinate performance improvement activities, and provide technical assistance to staff.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of radiological and imaging services, including diagnostic radiography, mammography, CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, interventional, emergency department, and operating room imaging.
  • Organize and monitor performance improvement and quality control activities.
  • Provide technical assistance to staff regarding radiological and imaging services and safety.
  • Respond promptly to requests from other departments and maintain cooperative relationships.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support, American Registered Radiologic Technologists, Certified Radiologic Technologist in Virginia, or equivalent.
  • Licensure: Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the state of Virginia.
  • Experience: Seven years of management experience in leading radiology services in a hospital or healthcare-related setting.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, or related Radiological Science field, or Associate's degree with additional experience.
