Job Title: Financial Controller

The Financial Controller is a key position within the finance team at XcelHR, responsible for the overall management of the company's financial operations and reporting systems. This role will manage accounting records, evaluate and manage risk, ensure compliance with regulations, publish financial statements, oversee accounting operations, analyze financial data, monitor expenditure, forecast revenue, coordinate auditing processes, and ensure accuracy of financial information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Review account analysis to ensure revenue, expenses, and liabilities are recorded appropriately and in accordance with company policies.
  • Lead financial and SSAE audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial reporting and present to Senior Management to ensure timely and accurate financial information.
  • Manage intercompany accounting, Accounts Payable, and Workers Comp accounting to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Tax Department to ensure accurate and timely Corporate Tax returns.
  • Assist in general vendor coding, receivables, and wires/ACHs coding to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Establish financial and operating benchmarks, program monitoring, and reporting standards to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Review Fixed Asset and Goodwill reporting for accurate depreciation and amortization calculations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager.
  • CPA required.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central, preferred.
  • Strong understanding of PEO accounting, preferred.
