Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join our team at Spartech in Stamford, CT. As a key member of our Plant operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, health, and environmental policies, procedures, and operations at our manufacturing plant are in compliance with all applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain safety systems, policies, and procedures for the Stamford site.
  • Collaborate with other functional departments to enhance employee engagement and reduce at-risk behaviors.
  • Manage the engagement to improve safety-related KPIs.
  • Perform risk assessments on operations and work with employees on risk reduction.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCCA) on near-misses and action items arising from joint safety observations (JSOs).
  • Maintain all required documentation and external reporting on time.
  • Ensure equipment and facilities are installed and maintained in compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with Operations Management to define goals, objectives, and projects related to yield improvement, labor optimization, conversion cost reduction, product quality, and compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health, Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in the EHS field.
