OSP Construction Inspector II

Kinetic, a premier internet solutions provider, is seeking a skilled OSP Construction Inspector II to oversee and inspect the construction and maintenance of outside plant telecommunications infrastructure. This role involves collaborating with contractors, engineers, and local officials to ensure projects are completed accurately, safely, and within regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with contractors and engineers to review and correct work prints, ensuring all corrections are accurately documented and communicated to relevant parties.
- Execute Work Order Change Forms (WOCF) as needed to address changes in project scope or specifications, maintaining detailed records of all changes and ensuring timely updates to project documentation.
- Conduct pre-construction site walks with contractors to assess the constructability of projects, identifying potential issues and providing recommendations to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review permits received, checking diagrams and wording for requirements of others as to the impact on the project, and engage with counties, townships, EMCs, DOT, and tribal authorities to navigate regulatory requirements.
- Oversee OSP construction projects from delivery to completion, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, monitoring project progress and addressing any issues that arise during construction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, preparing and submitting regular reports on project status, including any delays or issues encountered.
- Extensive experience in OSP telecommunications construction.
- Strong understanding of OSP engineering prints and the ability to interpret and correct them.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a desire to help and guide others.
- Experience working with local and state officials, including working with permits and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Ability to conduct detailed site walks and identify potential construction challenges.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including walking long distances and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license.
- This position may require travel to various construction sites.
