Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate Company goals.
  2. Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly. Review market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
  3. Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programs.
  4. Direct channel development activity and coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
  5. Advise dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques.
  6. Direct product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales lines.
  7. Represent the company at trade shows to promote new and existing products, requiring the ability to lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  8. Deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
  9. Meet with key clients, assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  10. Coordinate liaison between retail sales departments and other sales-related units.
  11. Analyze and control expenditures of divisions to conform to budgetary requirements.
  12. Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  13. Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.
  14. Effectively manage sales budgets for regions.
  15. Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve overall team operations.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position requires personal time management and scheduling.

Work Environment

This is a remote location position but may require visits to the local or home offices frequently. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This position will occasionally be required to stand or balance when conducting outside sales, as well as walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. This employee requires full range of motion of arms and legs and requires movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity and coordination. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift products and office supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours can change at the discretion of the VP; though typical hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday work required only as job duties demand.

Travel

This position requires up to 100% travel.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in field experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in outside sales.
  • 2+ years of experience in account management.

1) Must possess a valid driver's license
2) No major safety and moving violations reported on MVR within the past (3) years. Major violations include:

  • Felony convictions
  • Automobile insurance canceled or not renewed by an insurance company due to excessive tickets, accidents, points, or fraud.
  • Convicted of alcohol or drug-related offenses while driving.
  • Convicted of three or more speeding violations or serious moving violations; moving violations include texting or cell phone violations.
  • Been involved in two or more chargeable accidents.
