We are looking for an Audit Team Leader to join our Tax division to:

  • Take full charge of planning, overseeing, and managing all aspects of the firm's regular services for clients.
  • Guide the decision-making process for assigned projects and clients; keep the engagement Partner fully informed of significant decisions, engagement processes, client situations, and potential issues.
  • Develop a capable and trained team by assisting in recruitment, planning assignments, resolving challenges, providing direct consultation to staff, evaluating performance, and leading discussions in professional development initiatives.
  • Assess internal controls and prepare and communicate recommendations.
  • Review attestation workpapers in detail and provide constructive feedback to staff.
  • Monitor engagement processes by tracking time budgets and deadlines, communicating essential developments to the engagement Partner along with facts, conclusions, and recommendations, and maintaining ongoing attention to client management.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong client service abilities with the capacity to interact with all management levels.
  • Detail-oriented with strong planning and organizational skills; capable of making informed decisions.
  • Able to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
  • Resourceful in identifying technical issues and formulating solutions.
  • Informed about current developments in the field of expertise.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of audit, accounting, and related concepts.
  • Experience in financial statement preparation, audits, reviews, and compilations.
  • Familiarity with FASB standards, GAAP, and GAAS.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with a preference for accounting.
  • CPA certification is mandatory.
  • Experience in personnel management is required.
  • Background in public accounting is essential.
  • 7+ years of audit experience is preferred.
  • Experience with tax preparation and review services is advantageous.
