Unicorn Construction Ent., Inc. is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Civil/Heavy/Highway Site Superintendent. This is a full-time position that requires a high level of expertise and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities- Integrate the functions of various work trades, including subcontractors, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from large-scale to smaller-scale initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations.
- Oversee project planning, task planning, and coordination, as well as logistical management of resources (labor, equipment, materials).
- Set up levels and transfer grades from benchmarks provided by surveyors.
- Read and execute work from contract plans and approved shop drawings.
- Apply prior knowledge of NYC Union Rules and regulations.
- Document and communicate project progress effectively, both in writing and verbally.
- At least 3 years of experience in the Heavy/Highway Field of Construction.
- At least 1 year of experience functioning in a role of superintendent on relevant projects.
- Civil Engineering Degree is not required, but advantageous.
- Proficient in project planning, task planning, and coordination, logistical management of resources (labor, equipment, materials).
- Ability to set up a level and transfer grades from a benchmark provided by a surveyor.
- Ability to read and execute work from Contract plans and Approved Shop Drawings.
- Prior understanding and knowledge of NYC Union Rules.
- Ability to clearly document and communicate – both written and verbal.
