Residential Assistant Manager Group Home All Five Boroughs

AHRC NYC is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Residential Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our group homes in all five boroughs of NYC.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Residence Manager and other management team members to ensure the smooth operation of our group homes.
- Provide direct supervision and guidance to direct support employees assigned to the residence.
- Assist with ensuring ongoing compliance and quality assurance with State and Federal regulations applicable to the operation of the facility.
- Provide service coverage in accordance with staff scheduling established by the Residence Manager.
- Assume responsibility for the smooth operation of the residence, including adherence to funder's and agency's policies and procedures related to house and vehicle maintenance, fire safety, and residents' and personnel files.
- Collaborate with the Residence Manager in planning each resident's individualized program of services and care.
- Monitor direct care activities related to medical services, including ongoing maintenance of electronic and paper medical records, scheduling and attending of medical appointments, proper administration of medications, and request for referrals as needed.
- Ensure each resident's basic needs are met, including adequate supply of food, clothing, personal hygiene items, and any other personal belongings necessary to meet individual's needs within the home environment.
- Serve as liaison with Treatment Coordinator in reviewing quality of active treatment services and expected residential habilitation outcomes.
- Formulate and recommend new ideas and outcomes directed towards enhancing quality of each resident's life.
- High school diploma or HSE, along with 12-18 months of related experience required.
- Experience supervising staff in a residential setting preferred but not required.
- Experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities required.
- Must be knowledgeable in the field of developmental and intellectual disabilities and have knowledge of OPWDD regulations.
- Must have ability to assist in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing program policies and procedures in timely and consistent manner.
- Ability to deal diplomatically with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public.
- A valid New York state Tri-State driver's license for more than one year in good standing with minimal violations is required for most but not all positions.
