Our Tax Senior Role

This hybrid role will serve healthcare and for-profit medical practice clients. As a Tax Senior, you'll be responsible for:

  • Communicating with clients and firm associates in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective client relationships through regular communications, including on-site visits.
  • Adhering to prescribed budgets and deadlines.
  • Developing technical competency and assisting clients.
  • Participating in continuing professional education programs.
  • Serving as a trusted business advisor for clients and associates.
  • Proactively identifying improvement opportunities in processes to enhance efficiency, recognize potential issues, and discuss with engagement leaders.
  • Using data analysis skills to discover useful information and patterns to provide support in recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Tax Senior, you'll provide medical practice clients with tax compliance services and proactive tax consultations on individual, C corporation, S corporation, and partnership engagements in accordance with firm and professional standards as directed by engagement leaders.

You'll partner with clients to provide customized tax advisory services and work closely with other tax team members to identify and research complex tax issues.

You'll grow into a deep industry expertise focused on the medical practice space.

You'll understand and effectively use current tax and accounting software applications.

You'll research tax-related issues and other related financial reports.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • CPA or progress towards obtaining, preferred.
  • 3-4 years of related experience.
  • Prior experience in healthcare tax, preferred.
  • The ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work on multiple projects simultaneously under pressure and time deadlines.
  • The ability to analyze data and recommend solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
