Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at the Holiday Inn - an IHG Brand in Mount Juliet, TN. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to our high standards, ensuring a positive experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greeting Guests: Provide a warm welcome to our guests as they enter the restaurant.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook food according to our brand and health standards.
  • Stocking and Ordering: Stock and assist with food orders in a timely manner.
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Maintain a clean and sanitized environment in the kitchen and restaurant areas.
  • Cooking to Guest Requests: Cook food to our guests' requests and liking.
  • Guest Engagement: Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service.
  • Complaint Resolution: Respond to complaints and help resolve them in a professional manner.
  • Menu Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of our rotating menu.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain knowledge of all health and safety standards and requirements.
  • Guest Service: Provide excellent guest service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintenance Reporting: Report any maintenance issues with kitchen appliances and equipment to management.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Guest Service: Ability to provide top-notch guest service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Teamwork: A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all staff.
  • Quality Work: Does high-quality work while unsupervised.
  • Physical Demands: Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time and safely lift and maneuver trays of food when necessary.
  • Communication: Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed.
  • Adaptability: Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Additional Skills: Restaurant experience a plus, hotel experience highly preferred, guest service experience preferred, attention to detail, team player, organizational skills, professional written and verbal communication.
