Job Summary

The MacPhail Center for Music seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented Budget and Payroll Specialist to support the School Partnerships team. This part-time role will be responsible for managing the daily budget and payroll related work for in-person K-12 partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the School Partnerships Director with budget management and financial planning.
  • Track and reconcile department expenses, including mileage and other related costs.
  • Process payroll entries and ensure accurate and timely payment.
  • Coordinate the proposal and contract process, including tracking, reviewing, and processing.
  • Prepare and send confirmation letters to partners and stakeholders.
  • Review and analyze finance reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Attend weekly department meetings to stay informed and provide updates.
  • Collaborate with partners to gather necessary information and resolve any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • High School Degree or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related field, preferably in budgeting and payroll management.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Office365 products, including Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Strong time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with diverse client groups.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
