Job Details

Virginia Mason Medical Center is seeking a skilled Operating Room Technician to join our team. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and efficient operating room environment.

Certification and Registration

BLS certification is mandatory, and registration with Washington State is necessary. National certification as a CST is not required.

Job Requirements
  • BLS Certification required.
  • Must be registered with Washington State - no pending licenses accepted.
  • Previous scrubbing experience with a minimum of one year is necessary.
  • First time travelers are considered.
  • Knowledge in a wide array of procedures, with specific mandatory experience listed.
Schedule Information

Shift pattern: 4 days of 10-hour shifts. Shifts are variable days, primarily Monday to Friday. Start times can be at 0630, 0900 or 1100, with consistency maintained weekly. Expected to comply with the assigned call schedules.

Unit Specific Information

22 operational suites with potential expansion capabilities. The OR tech unit demands versatility across multiple surgical disciplines. 16 different service lines signify a broad case mix. Both complex and high-volume scenarios to be expected.
