Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate patient placement and flow to provide efficient and effective care.
- Collaborate with Nurse Managers, Administrative Supervisors, Physicians, and Medical Directors to remove barriers and bottlenecks.
- Utilize clinical expertise to coordinate elective and emergent admissions, transfers, and bed management.
- Monitor bed availability and expedites patient transfers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with staff to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Act as a resource for patient placement staff, providing guidance on unit capabilities and equipment.
- Stay up-to-date on ED volume and patient types to inform decision-making.
- Utilize technology to maintain accurate files and reports.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and active listening to provide exceptional customer service.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Minimum 3 years of professional nursing experience in the Emergency Department.
- Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
- Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
