POSITION SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for developing the maintenance team's schedule, training new staff on essential company policies, and ensuring the longevity of equipment through regular maintenance and troubleshooting. This role requires inspiring the maintenance team to execute projects with skill and efficiency while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all company equipment and facilities.
  • Manage the installation and repair of mechanical systems within the facility.
  • Establish and enforce effective maintenance procedures and policies.
  • Supervise the hiring and activities of both technical and non-technical maintenance staff.
  • Delegate tasks to ensure seamless operations within the maintenance department.
  • Coordinate with third-party personnel for maintenance tasks as necessary.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to enhance productivity.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Manage the maintenance budget and monitor equipment inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and fire regulations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and provide operational reports to management.
  • Conduct health and safety risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to work in low-temperature environments for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to accommodate varying work schedules, including extended hours.
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting is essential.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven track record in facility maintenance and project management.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and maintain a hands-on presence.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively address team concerns.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Facility Management or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with OSHA and USDA regulations.
