Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure maintenance and construction work in assigned area is completed on time, within budget and quality expectations while adhering to safety and regulatory compliance.

* Oversees projects contracted to vendors and associated work inspections.

* Ensures contractor personnel comply with company safety standards with all laws, regulations, policies and bulletins.

* Ensures optimal resources are identified and mobilized to efficiently execute the annual work plan.

* Partners with peers, staff departments, matrix organizations and outside agencies to improve overall business results.

* Collaborates with leaders, other LOBs, and business partners to work on issues, projects or activities.

* Ensures coordination and availability of data and resources for successful completion and support of all work.

* Manages project portfolios to allow cross-prioritization of projects for budget forecasting purposes; ensure projects are strategically aligned, and ensures projects stay on track.

* Collaborates with others to identify, analyze and improve existing business processes within a department to meet new goals and objectives.

* Supervises staff to accomplish results through effective recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management and rewards and recognition.

* Participates in reviewing vendor proposals to select key service providers and partners.

Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or job-related discipline or equivalent experience

* Eight (8) years of relevant experience in Construction or related field

* Utility industry experience

* Experience in working with regulatory agencies

* Experience in union environment

* Experience in project management

* Experience in managing budgets

* Leadership experience
