Position Title: Technology Support Specialist

Location: Queensbury, NY

Employment Type: Full-time

Overview:

As a vital member of our Facilities and IT department, you will play a crucial role in delivering electrical, building, and technology assistance to a dynamic and expanding organization. Your responsibilities will encompass electrical tasks, data integration, maintenance, and IT support. You will address user inquiries related to computer software or hardware operations to effectively resolve issues.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all assigned equipment is operational and ready for use.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and functional physical environment.
  • Manage and process work order requests promptly to resolve issues.
  • Act as a liaison between staff and external contractors for specialized problem resolution.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for facilities and equipment.
  • Adhere to safety standards throughout the workplace.
  • Maintain an inventory of supplies and reorder as necessary.
  • Conduct technical diagnostics and read manuals to troubleshoot and provide support.
  • Set up equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation of cables and software.
  • Provide training to users on hardware and software usage.
  • Refer significant hardware or software issues to vendors or technicians for service.
  • Install and perform minor repairs on hardware, software, or peripheral devices.
  • Evaluate software or hardware and suggest improvements or upgrades.
  • Collaborate with staff and management to determine requirements for new systems or modifications.
  • Inspect equipment and prepare it for delivery to users.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to travel frequently.
  • Preferred experience in electrical work.
  • Preferred experience in building maintenance.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities.
