Accounting Supervisor Job Description

This role involves managing the company's financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and standards. The Accounting Supervisor will also prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis, and providing insights to management for decision-making purposes. The Accounting Supervisor will also ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments. Furthermore, the role involves supporting external auditors during the annual audit process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The Accounting Supervisor will also develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and implement process improvements as needed.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates will ideally have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and 5+ years of accounting experience. Manufacturing experience is also preferred, as well as cost accounting experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as an understanding and application of accounting principles and practices. The successful candidate will also have strong business partnering and communication skills.
