Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Health Care Tech/CNA- Observation T6 to join our team at Carle Foundation Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the maintenance of unit supplies, including stocking nurse servers, cleaning instruments and equipment, ordering supplies, and making up charts.
  • Collect data on assigned patients as directed by Registered Nurse (RN) and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Demonstrate competency in selected psychomotor skills, including measurement of vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, and measuring and recording intake and output.
  • Perform or assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene care, toileting, and ambulating as appropriate.
  • Accurately document patient care delivery and maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Health Care Technician (HCT) functions as a support to the licensed nursing staff.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
