About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic - Experienced to join our team at United Rentals. As a key member of our Service Department, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing complex equipment, ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools.
  • Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer-owned equipment, maintaining a clean and professional service vehicle.
  • Assist in the training of lower-level technicians as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of work performed, including electronic documentation of work orders.
  • Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction equipment, including schematics and diagrams.
  • Must own tools applicable to the position.
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
