Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Highway Maintenance Worker II: Medium Equipment Operator to join our team at the South Carolina State Gov. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our roadways and signs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the removal of snow and ice from roadways and/or storm damage to ensure safe travel conditions.
  • Install new roadway signs and be responsible for the replacement of existing signs to maintain a clear and visible signage system.
  • Inspect signs for serviceability and safety to ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Complete required forms and documents to maintain accurate sign inventory and track maintenance activities.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
