Job Overview

The co-founder, Dave, a chef trained in Thomas Keller's Bouchon restaurant organization, established a straightforward process: select the finest quality chicken, prepare it in a proprietary brine, and after deep frying, top it with one of seven signature spice blends.

Position Summary

The Team Member is responsible for executing specific tasks and duties assigned within the restaurant, including guest service, food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and fostering teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

The Team Member will:

  • Maintain a swift pace of service, addressing guest inquiries and concerns while adhering to all safety and security protocols.
  • Follow the DHC Training Program to acquire new skills, duties, and responsibilities.
  • Communicate with their immediate supervisor when additional training and guidance are necessary.
  • Understand the impact of each job responsibility on guests, employees, and overall restaurant operations.
  • Greet guests, take orders, and serve food and beverages with a consistently positive and helpful demeanor, including addressing questions.
  • Collaborate with coworkers to prepare items on the DHC menu while adhering to cooking instructions, safety procedures, and sanitary standards.
  • Utilize specific kitchen equipment such as ice cream dispensers, fryers, warmers, etc.
  • Ensure daily restaurant cleanliness by clearing tables, sweeping and mopping floors, and sanitizing kitchen utensils and high-touch areas.

Additionally, the Team Member will:

  • Handle guest concerns and complaints professionally to resolve issues in accordance with restaurant policy.
  • Maintain a neat appearance by wearing a uniform and following the uniform policy.
  • Be performance-oriented and driven, understanding performance expectations and being aware of performance results.
  • Adhere to the rules and directions provided by the restaurant management team.
Job Expectations

The Team Member will work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, interacting with guests and collaborating closely with other Team Members to complete tasks, as well as performing other duties assigned by the restaurant management team.

In addition, they will:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and directives.
  • Support the goals and decisions of the restaurant management team.
  • Contribute to the restaurant's success by consistently accomplishing expected work during each shift.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to resolve any interpersonal issues as needed.
  • Follow all company guidelines for food and cash controls, maintaining and minimizing restaurant costs.
Qualifications
  • Current student or high school diploma/GED preferred.
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude while performing all duties.
  • Commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Effective communication skills with coworkers and management.
Transportation & Accessibility
  • Must have reliable transportation to work.
  • Must have a reliable method of communication with supervisors and coworkers.
Work Hours
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including opening and closing shifts.
  • This includes working weekends, nights, and holidays as necessary.
Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong guest service skills.
  • Ability to view restaurant operations from a guest's perspective.
  • Ability to take initiative and resolve problems.
  • Able to stand for long periods.
  • Able to bend and stoop.
  • Able to work in a hot environment.
  • Able to work closely with others.
  • Able to lift 40-60 lbs comfortably.
