Job Overview:

Position Summary:

As a Lead Software Architect within the GenAI Knowledge Assets division, you will be pivotal in shaping the technical strategy and vision of our team.

Your collaboration with diverse teams, including Cybersecurity, AI as a Service, and Business units, will be essential in crafting and implementing an enterprise-level solution for GenAI Knowledge Assets. This includes formulating a business strategy, orchestrating knowledge management, and spearheading data product development to enhance Visa's GenAI applications.


As a key member of the leadership team, you will establish the technical roadmap, explore and integrate industry-standard technologies, and oversee the knowledge management system. You will work alongside development managers and teams to identify and resolve technical obstacles while collaborating with various product and data science teams to streamline feature requests and model onboarding.


The advancements in AI and Generative AI present significant opportunities for transformation in the corporate environment, promising enhanced operational efficiency.

However, the successful implementation of these technologies relies on the availability of high-quality content tailored for the appropriate AI solutions and internal stakeholders.


Effectively managing Visa's documents and data for our emerging GenAI tools will be crucial.

The Lead Software Architect role encompasses exciting responsibilities at the forefront of promoting GenAI adoption and information governance.

This position will serve as a vital catalyst for innovation in the application of GenAI.


Your responsibilities will include designing the architecture necessary to execute strategic priorities aimed at facilitating access to Visa's valuable document and data resources.

Additionally, you will drive initiatives to enhance access to Visa's documents and data assets while developing a long-term strategy for GenAI adoption and the accompanying cultural transformation.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Collaborate with project teams, data science teams, and development teams to shape the technical roadmap and guide the development and implementation of innovative, data-driven business solutions.

2. Establish technical standards and best practices, continuously enhancing the scalability of the AI Platform engineering.

3. Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering the growth of the team’s talent pipeline.

4. Develop a structured architectural framework to address the components of our document management system, formulating relevant hypotheses and supporting project workflows.

5. Ensure effective implementation and ongoing evolution of document governance based on content, confidentiality, and access requirements.

6. Drive change through creative, innovative, and practical solutions to the challenges encountered.

7. Partner with the Global Data Office to create technological solutions that automate key document management functions and enhance Visa Library capabilities to support our Visa GenAI tools.


8. Stay informed about the global AI solutions landscape to deploy and apply internal knowledge, bringing the best solutions and practices to the Visa ecosystem.


Additional Information:
This position operates in a hybrid model, allowing employees to alternate between remote and office work. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to be in the office 2-3 designated days a week, as determined by leadership, with a general expectation of being present in the office at least 50% of the time based on business needs.
