Job Overview

Position Summary

  • Facilitate after-school initiatives throughout the academic year.
  • Assist in overseeing daily functions, ensuring adherence to state licensing regulations, maintaining enrollment documentation, tracking daily attendance, compiling incident reports, and collaborating with ERfC leadership.
  • Conduct specific lessons on a daily basis across various programs, including arts, recreation, academic assistance, enrichment, sports, and more.
  • Work in partnership with ERfC personnel, Enfield Public Schools staff, and community collaborators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Remain present on-site at all times during program operations.
  • Act as a Center Administrator when necessary.
  • Coordinate and uphold secure and precise student records.
  • Maintain a daily log of incidents and noteworthy occurrences.
  • Support students positively and consistently.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of activities alongside staff and community partners.
  • Help in updating student registrations and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of classrooms and other areas.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities as required.
  • Support outreach and engagement initiatives.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and report any concerns immediately.
  • Attend meetings and engage with school faculty and staff.
  • Provide content for marketing as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory Duties

  • Assist in supervising staff as designated.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Ability to escort children and lift supplies.
  • Availability for training and occasional evening and weekend hours.
  • Valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years' experience in early childhood education.
  • Completion of State certification as head teacher within 90 days of employment.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Certification in pediatric CPR, first aid, and other relevant areas is required.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google applications is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field.
  • One to three years of proven management experience.
