Job Overview

A Safety Compliance Specialist is sought for a food production organization. This role is essential in ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations.


Work Schedule:

Tuesday to Friday - 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Saturday - 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage training schedules, communications, and related materials.
  • Collect and monitor data for worker compensation, safety reports, and key performance indicators.
  • Translate documents and materials between English and Spanish.
  • Assist in conducting monthly inspections and compiling reports.
  • Facilitate ongoing departmental communication and follow up on various initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support, including filing, word processing, Excel spreadsheet management, updating charts, scanning, answering calls, data entry, and scheduling meetings.
  • Report any safety or quality issues to authorized personnel.
  • Adhere to the Food Safety Plan (FSP), Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
  • Comply with all OSHA safety regulations and food safety laws.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) with verbal and written translation capabilities.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is necessary.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Preferred experience or knowledge in worker compensation and safety protocols.
