Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Business Intake and Conflicts Department as a Conflicts Counsel. In this role, you will play a critical part in identifying and resolving potential conflicts of interest, ensuring the integrity of our business practices, and upholding the highest standards of ethics and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise attorneys and staff on conflict of interest issues related to new matters and lateral hires.
  • Communicate Firm policies and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy in conflicts clearance.
  • Assist in the coordination of daily workflow to meet the needs of attorneys and ensure efficient conflict clearance processes.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance customer service and efficiency.
  • Provide expert counsel and support to designated attorneys and teams.
Requirements
  • Law degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar license in a state where Kirkland & Ellis has an office or in your state of residence.
  • 4+ years of law firm experience in conflicts, risk management, or corporate compliance.
  • Experience in conflicts identification and clearance at a large law firm.
