Veterinary Neurology Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Neurology department at Veterinary Specialty Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our neurology team.
Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians during patient appointments and provide outstanding client communication and education
- Perform sterile scrub and assist doctors throughout surgical procedures
- Advocate for patients, providing exceptional comfort, diagnostic, surgical, and nursing care
- Knowledge of equipment and materials used, and their availability and applications
- Ability to work on-calls, holidays/weekends, and OT as needed
- Minimum 3 years experience as an RVT with anesthesia experience required
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written; organizational skills; proactive thinking and a positive attitude required
- Accuracy in calculating and delivering anesthetic agents, fluids, and CRIs
- Proficiency in record keeping related to medical procedures, including daily treatments administered, patient status, procedures completed, supplies used, and anesthetic records
- Review and understanding of all medical records pertinent to patient care
- Comprehensive understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring required
- RVT IS required
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and a commitment to developing long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community required
- Maintain a positive outlook and ability to work well in stressful situations
- Ability to deliver exceptional client service

Veterinary Technician: $25 - $35 per hour
Veterinary Technician Specialist: $31 - $40 per hour
