Job Summary

Monarch (NC) is seeking a Developmental Specialist Residential to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving their personal goals and dreams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and support individuals in developing relationships in their community and with their natural supports.
  • Assist individuals in participating fully in their community consistent with their interests.
  • Ensure the rights of each individual are protected and promoted at all times.
  • Provide support as needed to meet the emotional, physical, and medical needs of each individual.
  • Facilitate person-centered, effective, positive relationships with individuals using positive approaches that promote self-determination.
  • Implement individual plans fully, within the requirements of the service definition, and document as required.
  • Complete daily progress notes and communication logs to ensure appointments, goals, and interests are met.
  • Assist individuals with daily living tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry.
  • Drive and travel as required, arranging for or providing transportation to individuals as needed.
  • Assist new staff and/or current staff with orientation, mentoring, and training.
  • Attend and actively participate in meetings and training as required.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma (Required)
  • Valid Drivers License (USA)
  • Experience working with children or adults with mental health diagnoses, intellectual/developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders
Work Schedule

Every other weekend: Saturday-Sunday (10:00pm-6:00am)
