The Inpatient EEG Coordinator is a critical role within our Clinical Neurophysiology Services Department. This position oversees the daily 24-hour inpatient EEG operations for both Adult and Pediatric Services, ensuring seamless coordination and supervision of EEG Technical staff and Clinical Unit Leaders.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily inpatient EEG operations, ensuring timely and accurate results
- Supervise EEG Technical staff and Clinical Unit Leaders, providing guidance and support as needed
- Maintain policies and procedures, QA program development, and implementation in conjunction with the Manager of the Clinical Neurophysiology Services Department
- Collaborate with Neurosurgeons to oversee epilepsy surgery cases, including programming EEGs for recording of intracranial electrodes, providing intraoperative EEG monitoring, and following patients' EEGs to completion
- Support the Clinical Neurophysiology Services department, ICCE, and Medical Center goals, including achievement of clinical and quality measures, operational efficiency, financial targets, and population/age-specific needs
- Associate degree or graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Neurodiagnostic program or equivalent
- Registered as an EEG Technician by ABRET and must be maintained
- Minimum of five years Neurodiagnostic work experience, with at least three years EEG Technologist experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
