Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer/EIT to join a prominent Civil Engineering and Surveying firm. This role is pivotal in the design and development of various projects including residential, commercial, and public works.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Auto-CAD drafting tasks to support the civil engineering design workflow.
  • Collaborate with team members and external consultants to ensure project success.
  • Assist in the creation of plans, specifications, and reports, ensuring all documents are finalized and stamped.
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance and quality control reviews of deliverables.
  • Design site and infrastructure in accordance with local standards, maintaining effective communication with planning and engineering staff.
  • Perform regular site visits to oversee construction quality and progress.
  • Prepare and organize project documentation and correspondence.
  • Calculate construction bid quantities and develop cost estimates based on plans and specifications.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and agency personnel.
  • Foster client relationships to identify future project opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Possession of (or ability to obtain within 18 months) an Oregon Civil Engineer License.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong technical skills in civil engineering, with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with Civil 3D or similar software.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in proposal and report writing.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and proactive in approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Skilled in networking to cultivate professional relationships.
  • Accountable for delivering high-quality work within established budgets and timelines.
