PAY RANGE - $25-27/HOURLY + OVERTIME (OVER 40 HOURS, TIME AND ONE-HALF), DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

The role of an "Ironworker" involves the assembly of structural components such as columns, beams, girders, joists, and metal decking. This includes tasks related to new construction, renovation, and repair projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the vertical and horizontal alignment of structural-steel components using tools such as plumb bobs, laser equipment, transits, and levels. Connect structural elements with bolts according to blueprints and directives from supervisors.
  • Utilize cranes or other machinery to hoist steel components into position.
  • Assemble steel frames, columns, beams, and girders in accordance with blueprints and supervision instructions.
  • Safely operate and maintain equipment, including personnel and material lifts, as well as small tools.
  • Report any unsafe working conditions or practices.
  • Monitor and maintain necessary fluid levels in machinery to ensure optimal operation.

Qualifications

  • Must hold 3G-4G Certification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the erection and detailing of Structural Steel.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Understanding of machinery and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of proper rigging and signaling techniques.
  • Familiarity with the following tools: transit, laser level, torpedo, torque guns, welders, and rigging equipment.
  • Possession of essential tools such as bolt bags, spud wrenches, bull pins, weld hood (for welders), tape measure, sleever bar, and hammers.
