Job Summary:

The Advanced Practice Nurse/Trauma Coordinator at HealthcareSource Medical Center provides high-quality health and medical care in the Emergency Department. This role involves conducting comprehensive health assessments and promoting wellness and prevention of illness and injury.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement differential diagnosis, order and conduct supervised and interpreted diagnostic and lab tests, and prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide patient-centered care and promote positive health outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree from a professional school of nursing.
  • Illinois licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
  • Four years of professional nursing experience, including two years of critical care or emergency nursing in a Trauma Center.
