The Clinical Nurse Specialist/Trauma Care Leader is responsible for delivering comprehensive health services within the Emergency Department (ED). This role entails conducting thorough health evaluations and advocating for health promotion and the prevention of illnesses and injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop differential diagnoses and oversee the ordering, execution, supervision, and interpretation of diagnostic and laboratory assessments.
2. Prescribe both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions for the effective management of acute and chronic health conditions.
Qualifications:
A master's degree from an accredited nursing program is mandatory, along with licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Illinois.
Additionally, a minimum of four years of professional nursing experience is required, which must include at least two years in critical care or emergency nursing within a Trauma Center.
