Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist Level IV to join our team in San Francisco, California.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Imaging Services Director and Chief of Diagnostic Imaging, this role will perform radiographic diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures.
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified areas of the body.
  • Determine exposure factors based on patient height, weight, and the portion of the body involved.
  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images.
  • Assist radiologists and other qualified physicians in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations.
  • Prepare images for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians.
  • Process images and review for proper identification and quality control.
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on radiologic equipment.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a specialty or one year of experience with an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in that specialty.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Fluoroscopy Certificate (California) and Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California) required.
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
