Job Summary:
The GM/HBC Manager is responsible for directing and controlling the operation of the GM/HBC Department to achieve sales and profit objectives. This role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:- Customer Service: Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service to customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Department Management: Direct and control the operation of the GM/HBC Department, including inventory management, ordering, and stocking.
- Team Supervision: Train, schedule, and supervise GM/HBC Clerks to ensure optimum staffing patterns for the department.
- Problem Resolution: Speak with customers to resolve problems with sales, dissatisfaction with service or product, or other problems related to the operation of the GM/HBC area.
- Inventory Management: Perform daily inventory and order necessary supplies to maintain adequate inventory.
- Ordering and Stocking: Write and input orders into the store computer, and ensure that all expired items are removed from the shelves daily.
- Store Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness of the department and storage area, and ensure that all display areas are kept clean and neat.
- Customer Service Skills: Ability to follow company customer service procedures and demonstrate prior customer service skills or related experience.
- Communication Skills: Ability to interact with customers and co-workers, and understand and follow instructions.
- Independence: Ability to work independently when necessary.
The GM/HBC Manager is eligible for a competitive salary range of $16.53 to $24.90 per hour, as well as benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, sick pay, PTO/Vacation pay, paid holidays, bereavement pay, and retirement benefits.
