Position Overview:

The Registered Nurse in the PreOp and PACU departments is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients and their families. This role requires a commitment to providing expert, compassionate, and personalized care, while collaborating with healthcare providers and team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage daily patient flow to enhance care, safety, and satisfaction.
  2. Effectively triage incoming patient requests for services.
  3. Provide patient education to support care plans and promote wellness.
  4. Delegate care responsibilities in accordance with state regulations.
  5. Exhibit proficient healthcare assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills.
  6. Handle a high volume of patient requests via telephone for medications and information.
  7. Administer medications and perform treatments while adhering to safety protocols.
  8. Coordinate patient care with other healthcare providers to achieve high standards of care.
  9. Work independently with minimal supervision.
  10. Utilize Relationship-Based Care principles to advocate for patient safety and preferences.
  11. Model the principles of a Just Culture and uphold organizational values.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of one year of clinical experience required.
  • Licensure: Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in Colorado or a compact state.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer skills necessary for job-related tasks is required.
  • Education: An Associate Nursing Degree is required for candidates hired after specified date.
