Position Overview
The Procurement Specialist will play a crucial role in managing purchasing activities for Fives Intralogistics Corp. This position is focused on optimizing procurement processes and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage Purchase Orders and Delivery Schedules utilizing SAP.
- Oversee purchase order confirmations from suppliers to ensure timely processing.
- Expedite Purchase Orders from initiation to delivery.
- Distribute purchase orders to vendors and maintain an organized internal filing system.
- Adjust planned materials based on changes and document any part shortages or schedule alterations.
- Communicate significant supply performance issues, including capacity imbalances and supplier delays.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers to meet expectations and enhance collaboration.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers while maintaining existing supplier relationships.
- Support supplier selection processes aligned with the company’s supply strategy.
- Develop and refine RFQ templates, ensuring compliance with established processes.
- Engage in negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Collaborate with the Bid Development team on proposed projects and manage requests for proposals.
- Work closely with project teams to establish and uphold the Project Supply Plan for sold projects.
- Promote Fives Intralogistics Corp. Core Values and lead process improvement initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of experience in a procurement role, with industry experience being advantageous. Proficiency in major MRP software such as SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards is required, with a preference for SAP.
Certifications such as APICS (CSCP, CPIM) or ISM (CPSM) are desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote) is essential.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, the ability to interpret technical documents, and effective communication skills for engaging with various stakeholders.
