We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Aftenro Society Home for the Aged. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities- Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Obtain vital signs and weights, and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
- Deliver meal trays to residents dining in their rooms, and assist with feeding as needed.
- Transport residents to and from meals and activities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Make regular rounds on assigned residents, checking on their well-being and providing emotional support.
- Answer call lights and respond to resident needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Pass a Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background study.
- Every other weekend rotation is required for part-time positions.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred, but not required. We can provide training for those enrolled in a CNA program.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Competitive hourly rate of $24.13.
- Free meals when working.
- No mandatory overtime for full-time students if it conflicts with scheduled class time.
- Paid training and certification programs.
- Flexible scheduling, with the option to choose your work blocks.
- Experience-based pay up to 10 years.

Aftenro Society Home for the Aged is a small, long-term care facility located on 5 acres near the University of Minnesota Duluth and St. Scholastica. We feature all private rooms and bathrooms, with a 100-year-old building that boasts carpeted halls and rooms with antique wood and stained glass windows.
We are a nonprofit facility with a volunteer board of directors, offering a unique and supportive work environment. Our facility is licensed as a Board and Care facility, but we are regulated like a skilled facility, providing a high level of care and support to our residents.
