Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at the Duluth Bethel Society, a non-profit residential treatment and correctional facility. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in providing nutritious meals to our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and cook a variety of meals in large quantities, following standardized recipes and menus.
2. Estimate food quantities and assist with food ordering and inventory management.
3. Help direct and train cooks, ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
4. Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and sanitation regulations.
5. Assist with menu planning and preparation, including special diets and accommodations.
6. Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Services Manager.

Requirements:

• Ability to clear a criminal background study.
• Two years of prior experience in institutional cooking preferred, but not required.
• Must obtain a food handlers license (provided by the Duluth Bethel Society).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call situations.
