Role Summary and Qualifications

As a skilled and empathetic Maternity Care Nurse, you will deliver direct patient care to individuals in the maternity unit. You will work to create personalized care plans through assessment and planning. Our team operates like a family, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for meaningful patient care.

In this position:

  • You will warmly welcome each maternity patient to the unit, fostering a sense of security regarding the care they will receive, ensuring them of your competence and commitment to their needs and their baby's health.
  • You will exhibit clinical proficiency in antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care.
  • You will respond promptly and accurately to changes in patient conditions or treatment responses.
  • You will effectively communicate with physicians about the patient's clinical status, including fetal monitoring and diagnostic study results.
  • You will perform nursing responsibilities as required across all areas of Maternal Child health.
  • You will engage in process improvement initiatives and activities within the department.
  • You will maintain a composed and professional demeanor, particularly in high-pressure situations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation certification must be obtained within one year of employment.
  • STABLE certification must be obtained within one year of employment.
  • Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Previous experience in labor and delivery.
