Key Responsibilities

As a Nuclear Medicine Specialist, you will collaborate with a team focused on patient care and mutual support. This role requires a thorough understanding of relevant technologies, independent decision-making, and comprehensive knowledge of all applicable regulations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting various technical procedures involving radionuclides for diagnosing and treating diseases.
  • Assessing and providing care appropriate to the age groups of patients, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Assisting physicians with therapeutic radioisotopes while adhering to safety protocols and preparing radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic use.
  • Verifying the assay of received radionuclides and calibrating doses, along with daily equipment calibration checks.
  • Maintaining accurate records of equipment calibration, radiation surveys, and the handling of radioactive materials in compliance with regulations.
  • Staying updated on new procedures and technologies, participating in evaluations and applications.
  • Engaging in training programs and instructing on specific techniques and equipment.
Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT).
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification.
  • State registration as a Radiologic Technician.
  • Associate Degree or completion of a vocational program.

This position requires full vaccination for COVID-19 in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, unless an exemption is approved.
