Responsibilities:

The Support Specialist will focus on enhancing social, coping, and independent living skills among children. This role involves supporting foster families and overseeing interactions with biological families. Collaborating with clinicians, case managers, and foster families is essential to ensure personalized treatment for foster children. Responsibilities include supervising visits between foster children and their biological families, reporting any concerns to the supervisor, and providing individualized support when necessary. The approach will be strengths-based, utilizing positive role-modeling, skill development, and behavioral strategies.

Qualifications:

A minimum of an Associate's degree is strongly encouraged, while a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Candidates should possess at least one year of experience in an educational or social service setting. Strong customer service skills are essential for this role.
