Spurwink Services is seeking a dedicated Treatment Foster Care Support Specialist to contribute to our mission of providing comprehensive mental health and educational services for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Our Treatment Foster Care Program is committed to serving children and families across multiple counties in Maine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the development of social, coping, and independent living skills in children.
- Support foster families and oversee interactions with biological families.
- Collaborate with clinicians, case managers, and foster families to ensure tailored treatment for foster children.
- Monitor visits between foster children and their biological families, reporting any concerns to supervisors.
- Provide individualized support to foster children as needed.
- Utilize a strengths-based approach, emphasizing positive role-modeling, skill enhancement, and behavioral strategies.
Qualifications:
An Associate's degree is strongly encouraged, while a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Candidates should possess a minimum of one year of experience in an educational or social service setting, along with strong customer service abilities.
